Please note: The Marin Coroner receives all the bodies picked up by the Coast Guard under the bridge and those that are subsequently carried by the tide to land in Marin County. Other bodies have been found in San Francisco, San Mateo and Contra Costa counties during the study period however data on these deaths is not included here. In addition, the tide carries others out to sea, who are then never found.
